Bounty partner clubs: what data they pass at signup?

What is the difference between a Bounty Partner and a membership club?

Bounty’s privacy policy (updated 20 May 2025) draws a hard line. Bounty Partners are brands it may email on behalf of. Those messages “will come from us, and your personal data will stay safe and secure with us.” It says it will not sell your personal information to those partners, and will only share the file with a partner if you have consented, in which case that partner writes to you directly.

Other Membership Clubs are optional extras in the registration flow. If you join one, “your information will be shared with them” and that club “will also become data controller of your information”. Your relationship with the club is then governed by its terms and privacy policy, not only Bounty’s. Bounty’s unsubscribe process “applies only to communications from Bounty and from Bounty on behalf of Bounty Partners.”

The ICO’s erasure guidance is useful here: once another organisation is a controller of a copy, a wipe at Bounty does not, by itself, delete that copy. You write to each controller.

Which clubs were named on the live list?

The names move, and Bounty’s own pages do not agree with each other word for word. Treat the date stamp as part of the answer.

The partner roster is not the club list. Being on Bounty Partners means Bounty may mention that brand in an email it sends. It does not, on Bounty’s wording, mean your address book has already gone to that brand.

What data leaves Bounty when I tick a club?

The policy’s general line is that Bounty shares “this” — the information you provided during registration — so the club can personalise its own service, and only if you opted in and accepted that club’s terms. The live Ickle Bubba tick, as shown on Bounty’s own “promise to mums” signup copy, is more specific: ticking it is explicit consent to pass “the personal details you provided us with during your Bounty registration, including your due date”, so Ickle Bubba can complete your registration and send personalised communications and offers.

A typical Bounty registration already holds name, email, postal address, phone, due date or pregnancy status, and (later) a child’s name. Assume a club tick can take that bundle, then read the club’s own privacy notice before you confirm. Do not assume the bundle is only an email address.

Bounty Partners who only appear on the long list — HiPP, Mamas & Papas and Cosatto among them — may still be message partners even when they are not a signup club. The star on the 4 September 2026 list is what marks the extra controller step.

How do I join Bounty without passing data to extra clubs?

   Read the ticks before you create the account The membership-club boxes sit next to gift-card and sample offers. Each box is a separate controller step. Leave every club box empty if you only want Bounty.

   Open the club’s own privacy policy Bounty’s page says the join is subject to that club’s terms and privacy policy. If the link is there, read who the controller is and how long they keep a due date.

   Create the Bounty account on Bounty’s terms only Bounty still has its own marketing preferences. That is a different question from handing the file to Ickle Bubba or another starred club.

   If you already ticked a club, write to that club Bounty’s policy says you “will need to unsubscribe separately from each Membership Club” and should contact them directly. A Bounty unsubscribe link will not cancel those clubs.

Does leaving Bounty cancel Ickle Bubba or KidStart?

No. That is the sentence Bounty writes in the “What happens if I change my mind?” block. The Bounty unsubscribe flow covers Bounty and partner-on-behalf emails. A club you joined is a second controller with its own suppression list. KidStart, Polly and Huggies may or may not still be offered on the day you sign up — check the live ticks, not a 2025 policy paragraph.
