How do I add a second baby to Boots Parenting Club?
Can I add another child on the same Parenting Club account?
Yes. Boots' FAQ Can I add further children to Boots Parenting Club? is a straight yes: add more children's names on your Parenting Club account, either in the boots.com account or by emailing [email protected]. You do not open a second Parenting Club with a new email unless you want a separate Advantage Card for another adult.
The join form itself already has Child 1–4 style fields once you pick how many children under five you have. Twins, a toddler plus a newborn, or a toddler plus a new due date all sit in those fields. Forum threads that look for a hidden "second-child form" are looking past the same Parenting Club page.
If the problem is a wrong due date on a first child, that is an edit to existing dates — not this add-a-child path. Use Parenting Club → My Preference and update the date; Boots says that edit also takes up to three weeks.
How do I add a second baby online?
Boots publishes the click path. Use a browser signed into the same account that already holds the Advantage Card — the app's club screen is not always where the extra-child fields sit.
- Sign in on boots.com Open My account and the Boots Advantage Card section. Confirm Parenting Club is already listed. If it is not, join the club first with the current due date or first child's date of birth.
- Open Parenting Club Click Parenting Club. Choose I have children under 5 years old (or keep that option if it is already selected).
- Raise the number of children Select Number of children so the extra name and date-of-birth rows appear. The live form has allowed up to four children under five.
- Enter the new child's date of birth and name For twins, fill Child 1 and Child 2 on this same screen — do not create a second login. A baby not yet born can be added later; a pregnancy now is the due-date option on the same account.
- Confirm, then wait Click Confirm. Boots says it can take up to three weeks for the information to be updated. App offers that depend on the new age or due date will not move on the same afternoon.
If the Confirm button errors, Boots' join page also asks you to review Personal Information first — stale phone or address fields block the club form. After a failed save, email the customer-care address in the FAQ rather than opening a duplicate card.
How long does the second-child update take?
Boots repeats the same lag for add-child and for a date-of-birth edit: up to three weeks. That is longer than the 24-hour / 72-hour clock on the 8-points rate (the points rate does not wait for the extra name — it is already on the card if Parenting Club is live). What waits is targeting: which gift tiles and advice emails match the new baby.
Swipe sideways for the full table
| Item | Typical official wait | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 8 points on selected baby-area products | Already live if the club is active (FAQ 24 hours / terms 72 hours from first join) | Adding a sibling does not re-join the club |
| Account fields showing the new name | Up to three weeks | FAQ for adding further children |
| App offers aimed at the new stage | Tied to the update; welcome-style tiles can take longer after a first join (up to 16 weeks from 12 weeks pregnant) | Do not treat a second Aveeno-style tile as automatic |
| Removing the club entirely | Up to three weeks to remove; up to 28 days to leave all mailings | Different path — My preference, untick Parenting Club |
What about twins, or a new pregnancy while the first child is still under five?
Twins go in the same account: raise the child count and complete two date-of-birth rows. There is no twin-specific Boots form. A new pregnancy with a toddler still under five is the same Parenting Club page — keep the older child's row and add the new due date via the expecting-a-baby fields or the extra child row once born.
Grandparents and carers can already hold Parenting Club on their own Advantage Card. A second adult in the house who wants their own one-per-customer gift limit needs their own card and club join — that is a second customer, not a second child on your form.
Boots does not promise a second welcome gift when you add a sibling. Offers stay one per customer, stage-targeted, refreshed three times a year. If a new tile appears after the three-week update, load it in the app and take it to a staffed till. If it does not, the published path is customer care, not a new email address.
In shortAdd the extra child on the existing Parenting Club account: number of children, name, date of birth, Confirm. Twins share those fields. Allow three weeks before you treat missing new-baby tiles as a fault.
Questions parents ask
- Do I need a new Advantage Card for a second baby?
- No. Boots' add-child steps use the Parenting Club page on the account you already have. A new card is only useful if another adult wants a separate membership.
- The first child is now over five. Can I re-join for a new baby?
- Parenting Club is for members who are pregnant or have a child under five. A new due date or a new under-five date of birth on the same account is the published route. If the club preference was unticked when the first child aged out, join again from the clubs list.
- I added the baby a week ago and the app still shows the toddler stage. Has it failed?
- Not yet. Boots says updates can take up to three weeks. The 8-points rate should already be running if the club was live. Stage-targeted tiles lag the form.
- Can I put both twins' names on one join?
- Yes. Set the number of children to two (or more) and complete each name and date-of-birth row on the same account. Do not open a second login for the second twin.
