What is the 14-day rule on the 15% discount?

About Amazon UK, Amazon's own news page, states that the Wishlist must be active for at least 14 days before you are eligible for the 15% discount. Creating the list and buying the same afternoon does not meet that published rule.

The same page dates the discount window from 180 days before the due date you typed in, until 90 days after that date. Amazon.co.uk's Baby Wishlist hub repeats the 14-day wait and the 180 / 90-day window. Amazon can change or withdraw the offer; the live Wishlist homepage and the full terms are the record, not a blog recap.

The 14-day clock is about the list being active, not about sitting in a basket. Add the list, wait until the discount box on the Wishlist homepage shows as available, then move eligible items from Your Wishlist into the basket.

Which items are excluded from the 15% and the welcome gift?

About Amazon UK says the 15% applies only to baby-related items sold and dispatched by Amazon, and it names three exclusions: nappies, infant formula and books. Marketplace sellers and grocery-style staples in those three lines do not meet that wording.

The welcome gift is a separate perk. About Amazon UK (checked 10 September 2026) says you can claim a free welcome gift when you create a Baby Wishlist and spend at least £20 on qualifying baby items sold and shipped by Amazon, again excluding nappies, milk formula and books. Amazon's Baby Wishlist hub, as indexed the same day, showed a £10 spend and a 5-day wait before redeeming the gift. Treat the live Wishlist homepage as current if those two Amazon pages disagree.

• Eligible examples named by About Amazon UK include bottles, dummies, buggies, baby monitors, breast pumps, pads and nursing pillows — only if sold and dispatched by Amazon and shown as eligible on the list.
• Nappies, infant formula and books do not count toward the £20 (or any other live threshold) and do not take the 15%.
• Only items already on the Baby Wishlist, added to the basket from the Wishlist page, are described as qualifying for the 15%.

How do I redeem the 15% at checkout?

About Amazon UK sets out a three-step path. The discount is not a sitewide code you type on a product page.

   Create the Baby Wishlist and wait Sign in, open Amazon's Baby Wishlist page, create the list and enter the due date. Keep the list active for at least 14 days. Check the discount box on the Wishlist homepage or the Benefits link.

   Add eligible items to the list first Use Add to wishlist on the product page. About Amazon UK says only items previously added to the Baby Wishlist qualify.

   Move them from Your Wishlist into the basket Open Your Wishlist and add listed items to the basket from that page, not from a 1-Click shortcut or a separate product-page buy box.

   Tick Use my discount When the discount is available, apply the Use my discount checkbox at checkout. About Amazon UK says only the primary registrant — the Amazon account that created the list — can redeem it.

How long does the discount last, and who can use it?

About Amazon UK points to full terms and conditions from that article. Recaps on parenting sites sometimes add extra limits (for example 1-Click, Lightning Deals, or an eight-month gap after the discount ends). Those extra lines were not on the About Amazon page we fetched; read Amazon's own terms before you rely on them.
