What does Boots say ends on the fifth birthday?

The Parenting Club page puts the window in one sentence: from the moment you find out you are pregnant until the day your child turns 5. The Advantage Card terms use the same cut-off: the club is for members who are pregnant or have a child under five years of age.

Boots' Advantage Card terms say: “After your membership of Boots Parenting Club ends, Boots will use the information you have given us about your child to continue to provide you with relevant offers and information, but we will only send you marketing material if you have agreed we can do so.” That is about mailings, not about keeping the 8-points baby rate.

What if I still have a toddler on the same account?

The club condition is that you are pregnant or have a child under five — not that every child on the card is under five. If a younger child is still named, the under-five test can still be met. Boots publishes a separate FAQ for adding further children; it does not invent a handover week between siblings.

Do not assume the rising-five keeps the rate going while you “mean to add” the toddler. Until the younger date of birth is on the account, Boots only has the child who is about to turn five.

What rate does the Advantage Card use after the club ends?

The plastic or digital card does not disappear. Which? describes Parenting Club as eight points per £1 on baby products until the child turns five, and the standard Advantage Card as three points per £1 on qualifying spend. Boots' own collecting terms match that standard rate of three points per £1.

• Baby-aisle 8 points — a Parenting Club benefit, not a lifetime Advantage Card setting.
• Staged free gifts — Boots lists lines up to five years (for example a vapour-plug refill offer for ages 3–5). Those stage gates end with the club window.
• Ordinary Advantage Card offers — still sit in the app if the card stays registered.
• Over 60s Rewards or Student Discount — separate clubs with their own terms, not a substitute for Parenting Club.

Boots does not publish a ‘last month of club’ timetable. If the fifth birthday is this week and no younger child is on the account, treat the 8-points baby rate as finished on that day.

What should I do in the weeks around the fifth birthday?

1. Check which children are listed under Parenting Club and add any younger child’s date of birth if it is missing.
2. Load any still-valid app gift and collect it at a Parenting Club store before the stage window closes. Stock is not promised.
3. After the birthday, look at a baby-aisle receipt: the points line should match the standard Advantage Card rate if the club has ended.
4. If the 8-points flag is still missing while a child under five is on the account, use the same customer-care email as the join FAQs.
