Do you have to join Bounty to get the prenatal folder?

What does Bounty say the prenatal folder is, and who hands it over?

Bounty’s pack FAQ (checked 10 September 2026) says it still produces a prenatal Bounty folder, supplied free to main hospital antenatal clinics, GP surgeries and private scan clinics. It describes a smaller zip ‘handbag’ folder, made of at least 30% recycled material, holding samples, a Bounty Baby Guide and other literature, subject to availability.

The same FAQ answers ‘Where can I obtain my Bounty prenatal folder?’ with: it is given to you by your health care professional, at around 12 weeks pregnant. If you have not had one, ask at the next appointment. The Pregnancy Information Pack page repeats the 12-week booking-in appointment and says not to forget to ask.

Bounty’s older ‘journey’ copy says mums tend to register on bounty.com after they have received the folder from 12 weeks. That is the company’s own sequence: clinic first, account later — not account as a ticket for the folder.

Do you need a Bounty account or app login for the folder?

The pack FAQ’s instructions for a missing folder are: ask the midwife or health professional in the antenatal clinic or scanning unit; if they have none, email the surgery, clinic or scan unit address to [email protected] so Bounty can try to restock that venue. There is no step that says ‘create an account and we will post one’.

An Ipswich Hospital policy change reported by the *East Anglian Daily Times* quoted Bounty saying its services are offered on the basis of choice, and that there was no requirement to join Bounty to receive a free pack or a portrait sitting. That statement was about the older ward model. The 2026 FAQ still does not make membership a condition of the clinic folder.

Can Bounty post the prenatal folder, and who is left out?

No home post. The FAQ says that because of size and cost Bounty is unable to send folders by post direct to you. It also says prenatal folders are only available in the UK, and only where a venue is willing to take them. The Channel Islands are not supplied, which the FAQ calls prohibitive on cost.

If a voucher site tells you to download the app first so the folder can be ‘claimed’, that is the site’s funnel, not Bounty’s pack FAQ. The FAQ’s only escalation is restocking the clinic.

How do you ask for the folder without joining Bounty?

   Skip the join panel Close bounty.com if the only reason you opened it was the folder. The starred due-date form is for emails and offers, not for clinic stock.

   Do not wait for a postal workaround There is not one on the FAQ. A second clinic (for example a scan unit if the GP has none) is the route the FAQ describes.

The pregnancy-pack marketing page still mentions a ‘Mum-to-be Pack voucher’ inside the folder. Bounty’s packs page and FAQ now mark the Mum-to-Be pack as no longer available. Treat the voucher line as leftover copy; the live FAQ is the status of the packs themselves.

What if the midwife or clinic does not stock Bounty at all?

Then there is no folder from that venue. Bounty’s FAQ says supply depends on a venue’s willingness to participate. NHS trusts set their own rules on commercial material in clinic. The *East Anglian Daily Times* reported Ipswich Hospital changing how Bounty representatives could approach mums on the ward after a complaint — coloured bedside cards and a discharge question. That is a trust policy about reps, not a national duty to hand out folders.

A clinic that has dropped commercial packs will not become a postal depot because you joined the app. NHS antenatal notes and the NHS pregnancy pages remain the clinical information route regardless of Bounty stock.

Is the prenatal folder the same as the old hospital Newborn pack?

No. Bounty’s packs page lists the Pregnancy Information Pack as current, and marks both the free Mum-to-be pack and the maternity-ward Newborn pack as no longer available. The FAQ says those two packs were dropped, with HMRC Child Benefit literature left on some postnatal wards and more weight put on the app. Asking for ‘the Bounty pack’ on the ward in 2026 is a different question from asking for the 12-week folder in clinic.
