How to collect Emma's Diary gift packs from Argos or Boots

How do I get a voucher before I go to the shop?

Emma's Diary's how-to page dated 24 July 2026 treats collection as a club-login step, not a walk-in grab. You need a Parenting Club account first. The same page says the website voucher is printed; the app voucher is a barcode on the Club page.

   Join the Parenting Club Register on Emma's Diary or through the Emma's Diary app. Argos's feature page notes iOS users can sign up in the app.

   Open the unlocked pack On the website, log in and download or print the voucher. In the app, open the Club page and tap the pack you want to redeem so the barcode is on screen.

   Take it to a named shop The July 2026 steps name Argos or Boots. Ask the assistant to scan the printed voucher or the app barcode. The page says the assistant then hands over a pack if that shop has one.

   Do not treat the voucher as a hold Neither Emma's Diary nor Argos publishes a branch stock list. If the till has no pack, the voucher stays unused until you try another named shop.

This is not a Boots Parenting Club voucher and it is not an NHS kit list. Clinical questions belong on NHS Best Start in Life, not at the freebies till.

App barcode or printed paper — what do shops scan?

Official copy gives two equivalent routes. The website path is download or print. The app path is scan the barcode from the Club page. A separate Emma's Diary download page asks for an email address and then points you to Argos or Boots.

• Printed voucher. Use this if the shop prefers paper or your phone battery is low. You need a printer, or a clear photo of the printed page.
• App barcode. Official copy calls this the simpler till scan at Boots or Argos. Brightness up, barcode fully on screen, one pack selected.
• Email-only download. The download-your-packs form is a voucher fetch, not a second club. The page says that email is for the voucher only.

How many packs does Emma's Diary offer in 2026?

Live brand and retailer pages do not agree on timing, and older blogs still list a third pack. Read the current line, not a 2023 listicle.

Do Argos, Boots and Sainsbury's all take the same voucher?

The July 2026 step-by-step names Argos or Boots for scanning. A listing on the same brand site still names Sainsbury's, Boots or Argos for the Bump-to-Baby pack only. Argos's own FAQ only mentions Argos. None of those pages publish a store-finder with live pack stock.

If the voucher on your phone names a shop the till does not recognise, the till instruction on the voucher wins over a blog. Do not assume every Sainsbury's, every Boots or every Argos holds both packs.

What if the till says there is no pack?

1. Ask which Emma's Diary pack they hold today — Mum-to-Be, Bump-to-Baby, or neither — rather than "the baby freebies".
2. Ask whether the pack sits behind the counter, in a baby aisle, or in a warehouse pick for that store.
3. Try the other named chain on the same retail park if the first till is empty.
4. Keep the unused voucher. Official pages do not say a refused scan burns the code.
