How do I correct the wrong due date on a baby club account?

Why does a wrong due date matter on a baby club account?

Because the date is the only thing most clubs use to decide what to send you and when. A due date entered a month early moves every timed email, voucher and pack a month early; a scan-date typo that puts your baby's birthday in the wrong year can drop you out of a club altogether. Four places where the date does real work:

  • Timed vouchers. Amazon's Baby Wishlist discount runs from 180 days before the due date you entered to 90 days after it. Enter the wrong date and the 15% window opens and shuts at the wrong time.
  • Pack stage. Emma's Diary's second gift pack is aimed from about week 27, and Bounty's app content is sequenced week by week. A wrong date sends you the wrong stage.
  • Email cadence. SMA's FAQ says emails are weekly through pregnancy and the newborn stage, then monthly to the second birthday; the switch happens on the date you gave.
  • Public money. NHS Healthy Start pays £4.65 a week in pregnancy and £9.30 a week from birth to age one. Its update page says to "make sure your child is verified within 12 weeks of the estimated due date to receive the correct payment amount", and payments for a pregnancy stop four weeks after the due date unless the birth is reported.

Due dates move. Scans re-date pregnancies, and the date on your maternity notes is the one that matters to the NHS. Clubs do not know your scan happened; if the date changed by more than a few days, update every club you have joined, starting with any that pays money.

Where does each club let you change the due date or birth date?

We read each provider's account, FAQ or help page on 9 September 2026. "Self-service" means the page describes a place in your account to change it; "contact" means the page routes you to a person; "not stated" means the pages we could read are silent, and the URL to check is on the MayTally freebies page.

Routes are taken from each provider's own account, FAQ, terms or privacy page as read on 9 September 2026. Healthy Start amounts quoted in this article are from the official scheme rules on that date. Where a route is "not stated", look in the app's profile or settings first, then use the privacy-policy contact to request a correction.

Where the table says "not stated", you are not stuck. UK GDPR gives you a right to have inaccurate personal data corrected, and every privacy policy we read names a contact. A one-line email — account email address, wrong date, right date — is enough, and the ICO's page on getting your data corrected explains what to do if a company does not respond within a month.

What is the quickest way to fix the date everywhere?

  1. Start with the scheme that pays If you claim Healthy Start, update it first through "Update your details" (Universal Credit claimants) or by phone. Tell Universal Credit about the birth too — Healthy Start cannot pay for a child until the child appears on your UC statement.
  2. Fix the self-service clubs SMA: profile section. Your Baby Club: My Account → Answers. Bounty: My Profile, or the Remove pregnancy / Add child controls. Morrisons: your More account details. Do these in one sitting so nothing is left on the old date.
  3. Re-subscribe the email-only guides NHS Best Start in Life and the NCT guide have no profile. Use the unsubscribe link in the latest email, then sign up again with the corrected date. Expect one overlap email.
  4. Email the rest For clubs with no visible route — Boots, Pampers, Aptaclub, Amazon — look in the app's settings first. If nothing is there, email the privacy contact in the policy and ask for the date to be corrected under your right to rectification.
  5. Check the timed benefits afterwards Look at the Amazon discount window, the Emma's Diary pack stage and the next Healthy Start payment date. If a voucher has already been issued on the wrong date, ask the club whether it can be re-issued; the terms rarely promise it, but a polite request often works.

Why am I getting the same baby club emails twice?

Duplicate emails almost always mean duplicate records, and duplicate records usually come from one of five places:

  1. Two sign-ups, two addresses. You joined on the website with one email and in the app with another, or a partner signed up as well. Each address is a separate member to the club.
  2. Co-registration. Bounty's form offers to pass your details to Ickle Bubba, Mamas & Papas, Cosatto, HiPP and Tommee Tippee if you tick their boxes; Your Baby Club asks for marketing consent "each time an offer requires it". Each tick creates a new sender, and their emails can look like the club's.
  3. Shared logins across brands. Aptaclub and C&G baby club share one account (the register page warns "It looks as though you already have an account with us"), and SMA's registration creates a single Nestlé UK&I login. Joining the sister brand separately can produce two profiles for one person.
  4. A re-subscribe without an unsubscribe. Signing up to the NHS or NCT guide again with a corrected date, without leaving the first sequence, gives you both.
  5. Two children, two profiles. Some clubs handle a second pregnancy inside the existing account (Your Baby Club says so); creating a fresh account instead doubles everything.

To find the cause, open the two emails side by side and compare the sender address and the unsubscribe link. Same sender, different unsubscribe tokens means two records at one club. Different senders means a partner brand has your details in its own right and needs its own opt-out.

How do I consolidate into one account without losing anything?

  • Pick the account with the points or vouchers. Loyalty balances do not merge on request in any terms we read. Keep the account holding the balance and close the other.
  • Correct the date on the keeper before you close the spare, so no club is left with only the wrong record.
  • Ask for deletion, not just an unsubscribe, on the spare. Bounty ([email protected]) and Your Baby Club (deletion link in the FAQ) describe the route; SMA deletes only via its Careline, which also closes other Nestlé UK&I logins on that address; Pampers and Lidl delete in-app.
  • Update the postal address at the same time. Boots, Bounty and SMA hold a postcode or address for vouchers and packs. Use the same profile pages; for Healthy Start, an address change is a phone or online-form job, not a self-service edit.
  • Keep one email address for baby clubs. A dedicated address makes the next duplicate obvious and keeps the corrected date in one place.

In shortFix the date where money depends on it first, then in every club with a profile page, then by re-subscribing the email-only guides, and finally by email to anyone without a visible route — your right to have inaccurate data corrected covers all of them. Duplicates come from second addresses, partner ticks and shared brand logins; close the spare record rather than muting it.

Questions parents ask

Will changing my due date reset my vouchers or points?
Points balances sit on your account, not on the date, and no terms we read say a date change touches them. Timed vouchers are different: Amazon's discount window is calculated from the date you entered, and stage-based packs and emails re-sequence to the new date. Check any voucher already issued before you change the date.
My baby arrived early. Do I change the due date or add a birth date?
Add the birth. Bounty's form has an explicit "Remove pregnancy" and "Add child" pair; SMA and Your Baby Club let you switch from due date to date of birth in the profile. For Healthy Start, report the birth to Universal Credit and Healthy Start straight away — the weekly amount rises from £4.65 to £9.30 once the child is verified, and pregnancy payments stop four weeks after the due date otherwise.
The club will not let me edit the date. What do I do?
Email the privacy contact in the club's privacy policy and ask for the record to be corrected under your right to rectification. The ICO's guidance says organisations should respond within one month. Include the email address on the account, the wrong date and the right date.
Can I just make a new account with the right date?
You can, but it creates the duplicate-email problem this guide is about and can breach one-per-person rules on prize draws and sample packs. Correct the existing record where the club allows it; if it does not, ask for the old one to be deleted before you open a new one.
How do I stop packs going to an old address?
Change the postcode or address in the same profile pages you use for the date: SMA's FAQ lists address, town and postcode as editable; Bounty's My Profile covers its postcode; Boots points to the Personal Information page. For Healthy Start, an address change goes through the online form or 0300 330 7010, and the card itself is replaced through the automated line on 0118 338 5810 if lost.
