What do the official pages actually say about shops?

This is not a Boots Parenting Club page. Emma's Diary names high-street tills. Argos describes Argos collection. Neither retailer publishes a national "which branch has bags" feed.

Is Argos better stocked than Boots?

There is no official winner. Welcome-freebie listicles often tell people to try Argos first. 2026 posts on UK pregnancy forums go both ways: some parents found both packs in an Argos inside a Sainsbury's; others found Boots overflowing and Argos empty, or one pack in each shop on the same park.

A chain-level tip cannot beat the cupboard in front of you. Large-town Boots and small-concession Argos do not share a warehouse for this scheme.

Do leftover packs mean different contents?

Yes, they can. Emma's Diary states contents vary. Argos repeats that samples may vary. A late Mum-to-Be bag can be leaflets and a cream; a Bump-to-Baby bag is the one the brand lists with nappies and wipes — until that carton is substituted.

• Do not judge a chain by one bag. The next town's Boots can hold the nappy pack while yours holds liners.
• Do not open and swap at the till. Official pages describe a sealed gift pack, not a pick-and-mix.
• Do not treat a blog haul as today's SKU. Partner brands rotate.
