Can grandparents join Boots Parenting Club on their own Advantage Card?
What does the official Boots join form say?
The Parenting Club join page is the live form, not a news round-up. Checked on 10 September 2026 it states:
- "Exclusive to Boots Advantage Card members who are expecting a baby or have children under 5 years old."
- "To join Boots Parenting Club you need to enter either your due date or your child's date of birth."
- The only choices under "Choose from the options below" are "I am expecting a baby" and "I have children under 5 years old".
- It also publishes: "Collect 8 points for every £1 you spend on selected baby and child products".
There is no third tick for grandparents, no field for a grandchild's relationship, and no published request for a birth certificate or a letter from the parent. Pages that describe a "grandparent application" are inventing a process Boots has not put on this form.
Can nan use her own Advantage Card?
Yes, as a loyalty card. Anyone who meets Boots' Advantage Card rules can hold their own card and pay at the till. Parenting Club is a layer on top of that card. The join form asks the cardholder to say they are expecting or have children under five, and to type a date.
If a grandparent submits that form on her own card, she is using the parent/expectant wording, not a separate family product. Whether Boots' systems accept a second household's date is a Boots decision. Chronicle Live (March 2023) and similar write-ups describe the parent path only: Advantage Card, then Parenting Club, then extra points and staged gifts until the child is five.
Forum posts sometimes say a partner or grandparent opened a second card and joined. That is anecdotal. It is not official eligibility and it is not a published proof process. This page quotes the form Boots shows, not Reddit.

What if a grandparent still submits the form?
Submitting the form means typing a due date or a child's date of birth onto nan's card. That is the child's data on a second adult's profile. Read the date-of-birth caution before you do that.
- Confirm the Advantage Card is hers and is logged in — the join page asks you to review personal details first.
- Read the two ticks as they are written. Do not treat "I have children under 5" as unofficial shorthand for "I have grandchildren under 5" unless Boots has said so on that page.
- If the family only wants shop points on gifts, a plain Advantage Card at the till may be enough; Parenting Club is the extra layer.
- If Boots later asks for more information, use whatever it asks for. Do not follow a third-party script that invents documents.
In shortOfficial wording: Advantage Card plus expecting or children under five, plus a due date or child's date of birth. No published grandparent form. A second card can still pay for baby products. Club membership on that card is Boots' decision, not a family application with proof.
Questions parents ask
- Does a grandparent need their own Advantage Card first?
- The join page says Parenting Club is exclusive to Advantage Card members. A grandparent who wants to try the form needs their own card and login. That still does not create a published grandparent category.
- Is there an in-store grandparent sign-up?
- Boots' live page is the online join form quoted here. Chronicle Live describes signing up through the account after you have an Advantage Card. Neither source publishes a separate in-store grandparent process or a list of documents to bring.
- Can two adults in one family both be in Parenting Club?
- Boots does not publish a two-adult family rule on the join form. Each Advantage Card is its own membership. Whether a second adult's form is accepted is not set out as a family scheme.
- Do the 8 points apply if nan is not in the club?
- The 8-points line is printed on the Parenting Club join page for selected baby and child products. A standard Advantage Card follows ordinary card rates. Check the till and the card terms on the day; this page does not restate those rates.
