Your Baby Club welcome box postage: is it a subscription?
Is the welcome box a one-off freebie or a subscription?
The club's FAQ answers "I've signed up for your Monthly Your Baby Box Subscription — what happens next?" After you claim the welcome box you get an order confirmation, then a tracking link. Around 30 days later they email that the next box is due to ship. That sequence is a rolling monthly box, not a standalone sample pack.
The free-stuff page still headlines a "free" box and then charges postage at checkout. Affiliate "free baby box UK" posts often stop at that headline. The FAQ is the T&Cs-first version: welcome box, then monthly charge, then pause/skip/cancel rules.
Your Baby Club is run by FanFinders Ltd. It is not Emma's Diary, not an NHS box, and not a generic "are samples really free" page. Read the checkout total and the subscription line before you pay postage.
How much is postage and the monthly charge?
Amounts change. On 10 September 2026 three official surfaces did not quote one postage figure.

| store.yourbabyclub.co.uk product page | £9.99 postage for the welcome box; a £15.99 "single box" option is also listed | £23.99 / month including postage | Store FAQ says cancel or pause in the account; it does not repeat the delivery lock |

Can I cancel before the first box arrives?
- Read the checkout as a subscription If the payment page starts a monthly membership, postage is the first charge, not the only charge. The FAQ monthly figure on this check date was £23.99.
- Find the Shopify emails The FAQ says confirmation and tracking go to the Shopify customer email, which can differ from your Your Baby Club login email. Search both inboxes, including junk.
- Try My Purchases or the order-email links Pause, skip and cancel sit under My Purchases or in the order confirmation. The same FAQ says self-serve cancel stays closed until the welcome box is delivered.
- Email if the button is missing Write to [email protected] with order number, name and postcode if you want it stopped before delivery. The FAQ says the team can cancel sooner that way. Once a box has shipped, the FAQ points at the returns policy instead of a stop-in-transit button.
What do the returns pages actually say?
The returns policy (updated 20 February 2024) describes a 14-day cancellation right from delivery, unused goods, and return postage paid by you to a FanFinders freight address in Hampshire. The FAQ adds: if the order has already shipped they cannot cancel at that stage; after a return, email them so a refund can be issued when the parcel arrives.
MayTally does not invent extra refund rules. Sealed toiletries and perishable items can fall under the hygiene exceptions on that policy. The FAQ also warns about social-media pages that impersonate the club and take money — official checkout is www.yourbabyclub.co.uk.
In shortIn short: postage now, monthly box later. Two official postage figures were live on the same day. Self-cancel waits for delivery unless you email. That is a subscription on-ramp, not a no-string parcel.
Questions parents ask
- If I only pay postage, have I avoided the monthly box?
- Not on the FAQ wording. Claiming the welcome box is what starts the monthly subscription story: confirmation, tracking, then an email about 30 days later and a £23.99 charge (figure checked 10 September 2026). Postage is the first payment, not a stand-alone product, unless checkout clearly offers a one-box option and you take that path.
- Why can I not press cancel in the account yet?
- The FAQ states you cannot cancel the subscription yourself until the free welcome box has been delivered. The same paragraph says to email [email protected] if you want it stopped sooner.
- Which postage figure is correct — £9.99 or £10.99?
- Both were on official Your Baby Club pages on 10 September 2026. The store product page said £9.99; the free-stuff page said £10.99. The payment screen for the offer you clicked is the figure that is charged.
- Who do I contact about a missing confirmation email?
- The FAQ says search for "Your Baby Club", check junk, then email [email protected] with the checkout email address. Tracking may have gone to a different Shopify email than your club login.
