Why is my Boots Parenting Club welcome gift not showing in the app?

Why does Boots quote different waiting times?

The Boots Parenting Club FAQ and the terms on the same page do not use one clock. That is why an empty My Offers screen in week one is not, on Boots' own wording, a broken account.

Wording taken from the Boots Parenting Club page FAQ and terms, checked on 10 September 2026. Boots does not say which clock wins if they disagree.

Boots' own FAQ says welcome-to-club offers are available from 12 weeks pregnant, and that members should allow up to 16 weeks for app offers because of targeting. The free-gift terms on the same page separately say allow up to three weeks for offers to be visible in the app.

How do I check whether the offer is loaded?

A gift that is “on the account” still has to be activated in the Boots app and taken to a staffed till. Boots says free gifts cannot be redeemed at self-serve checkouts or, on the free-gift terms, online.

  1. Confirm Parenting Club is on the Advantage Card Sign in on boots.com. Open My account, then My Advantage Card, then Parenting Club. If the join form is still asking for a due date or a child’s date of birth, the club may not be attached yet.
  2. Open the Boots app while signed in Boots' “I’m not receiving my personalised offers” FAQ tells you to download the app and sign in. Offers live in the app, not in the welcome email.
  3. Scroll the full My Offers list Parenting Club lines are mixed in with ordinary Advantage Card offers. Forum reports often place them at the bottom of My Offers. That location is not in the official FAQ, so treat it as a search hint, not a rule.
  4. Load the offer before you shop Boots says you must present the loaded app offer with your Advantage Card at a colleague-operated till. Each gift is limited to one per customer and is subject to stock.
  5. Match the life-stage window Welcome Aveeno gifts are listed from 12–40 weeks pregnant and from 2 weeks old up to 5 years. If you joined before 12 weeks, Boots' own page says the welcome offers are not available yet.

What else stops a welcome gift appearing?

  • The card is not linked. Boots says Parenting Club points and app offers online need the Advantage Card linked to the boots.com account, and you logged in. See how to link the card.
  • The 8-points flag is still switching on. The FAQ says 8 points on baby products can apply within 24 hours. The Advantage Card terms say the 8-points offer is activated within 72 hours. Neither clock is the same as the offer-visibility clocks.
  • You are in a store that does not hold gifts. Boots restricts collection to Parenting Club stores and a unit in-store. A high-street branch can show the offer and still have no stock. See which stores stock the gifts.
  • The offer refreshed away. Boots says Parenting Club app offers are targeted to pregnancy stage or child age and are refreshed three times a year. An expired line will not come back as the same coupon.

Signing up a second time is forum advice, not a Boots instruction. The official contact path on the Parenting Club page is [email protected].

When should I email Boots customer care?

Use the clocks Boots wrote down, then write once with the facts the till team cannot see.

  1. Wait the two-week welcome-email window, or the three-week “visible in the app” window if you already have the email.
  2. If you joined before 12 weeks of pregnancy, wait until that week before treating a missing welcome gift as an error.
  3. If targeting is the issue Boots describes, the same FAQ asks you to allow up to 16 weeks for app offers. That is a long gap; it is still the figure on the official page.
  4. Email [email protected] with your Advantage Card number, the due date or child’s date of birth on the account, and a screenshot of My Offers.

In shortAn empty app in the first fortnight matches Boots' own two- and three-week clocks. After that, quote the 12-week welcome rule and the 16-week targeting line in the email — those are Boots' words, not forum guesses.

Questions parents ask

Where do Parenting Club offers sit in the Boots app?
Boots only says personalised offers are in the app after you sign in. It does not name a tab beyond the offers list. Parents on UK forums often find club lines at the bottom of My Offers, mixed with ordinary Advantage Card coupons.
Can I collect the welcome gift at a self-serve till?
No. Boots' FAQ says free gifts cannot be redeemed at self-serve checkouts. Take the loaded app offer and the Advantage Card to a colleague at a till.
I joined at six weeks pregnant. When can a welcome offer appear?
Boots says ‘Welcome to Parenting Club’ offers are available from 12 weeks pregnant. The same FAQ then asks members to allow up to 16 weeks for targeted app offers because of how the offers are aimed.
Is signing up again the official fix?
No. Boots' missing-offers FAQ tells you to confirm the app is downloaded and you are signed in, then to email [email protected]. It does not tell you to create a second club membership.
