Can a carer join Boots Parenting Club in the UK?

What does the Boots FAQ say about carers?

On the Parenting Club page, under frequently asked questions, Boots prints a one-line Q&A:

“Can I join Boots Parenting Club as a carer of a child?” — “Yes, if you are a carer of a child, you can join Boots Parenting Club.” Checked on 10 September 2026.

That is the whole official carer paragraph. Boots does not define “carer” on that page, does not ask for a local-authority carer card, and does not list proof to bring to the till. The join form still asks for a due date or a child’s date of birth.

Advantage Card help uses a wider phrase when you apply for the card: you can sign up for Parenting Club if you look after or care for a child under five years old. That sentence sits next to Over 60s Rewards and Student Discount as a club you attach to the same login.

Does a carer still have to meet the usual club rules?

Yes. The carer FAQ does not waive the rest of the scheme. The same page and the Advantage Card terms still set the gates below.

If the child you care for has turned five and no younger child or pregnancy is on the account, the club window ends on that birthday. Boots does not write a carer exception.

How does a carer join without a due date of their own?

   Open Parenting Club My account → My Advantage Card → Parenting Club → Join now. The join dispatcher asks you to choose “I am expecting a baby” or “I have children under 5 years old”.

   Enter the child’s date of birth Use the child you care for, if they are under five. Boots' add-children FAQ is the same flow: name, date of birth, confirm. Updates can take up to three weeks.

Boots publishes a separate FAQ that grandparents can join. That is a different sentence from the carer FAQ. This page only covers the carer line Boots printed.

What has Boots not said about carers?

• No extra ID list. The FAQ does not ask for a Carer’s Allowance letter or a young-carer card.
• No second-card rule. Nothing says the parent and the carer may both hold club gifts for the same child. Each offer is still “one per customer” on the loaded app offer.
• No change to store or till rules. Free gifts still need a Parenting Club store, a unit in-store and a staffed till.
• No change to infant-milk exclusions. The 8-points offer still excludes infant milk up to six months.

In shortBoots' published answer is yes: a carer of a child can join. Everything else is the ordinary club — Advantage Card, age 14+, child under five or a due date, then the app.
